Last spring, I had the privilege to edit a book written by my good friend, Sakinah Bunch, of Cleangoodeats.com. Sakinah is a health and wellness coach who brings families back to the table through mentorship and cooking programs. Her book, “Wife to Be: A Survivor’s Guide for the New and Not-So-Newlywed,” draws unique parallels between healthy marriages and healthy meals. It’s a great read for the almost-wed, the newly-wed and the not-so-newlywed.
Editing a book for the first time was awesome. Despite being up against tight deadlines all while keeping my own family life afloat, the work gave me energy. It was pure joy to use my God-given talents for editing and writing. (Yes, I realize how nerdy that sounds!) Writing, editing, and words in general have always been my blue flame, the passion that lights a fire in me.
I love Sakinah because she’s a woman totally pursuing her passion. Although words aren’t her thing, she succeeded in writing and publishing a book. And in enlisting my editing help, she allowed me to put my own passion to work.
If words aren’t your strong suit, let me put my strengths to work for you. For editing and writing help for your business or other writing projects, feel free to contact me.
